Our economic system based on constant growth, which is composed of us selling each other things with money borrowed from China and given to Saudi Arabia to drive us to the stores in our SUV’s was and is doomed to collapse.

Any rational person looking at this system of finance we created should realize that it is doomed to fail. We borrow money from our biggest global competitor for resources to give it to an unstable monarchy of a country were the populace really does not like us.

We have out sourced our production capabilities in search of the all mighty dollar with out regard to the good of our country. Short term monetary gain has won out over long term stability and prosperity.

We have short changed our schools, transportation system and created an unsustainable infrastructure based on cheap oil. Once oil prices reached $100 a barrel people did not want to buy the McMansions that were built an hour away from their jobs. Our SUV’s became to costly to use for our long commutes and our homes that were built with out regard for the local climate became too expensive to heat and cool.

We stopped buying the McMansions and SUV’s and started to do something we haven’t done in decades, to live with in our means. This is what caused the current recession and what will cause the next one as we forget about the fact that oil production has its limits and we have passed the global oil peak.

Am I saying that the world is ending? No, I am saying that we have to rethink our economic system. Our current Wal-Mart economy which is based on over sea manufacture, job outsourcing and oil intensive distribution networks is outmoded.

We have concentrate on a more local economy, with goods and services produced in our towns and cities. We need to have walk able city centers and a rail system capable of carrying passengers across the country. Basically we need to return to a 1950’s economic system.

The world is changing and can shape the future or be shaped by it. The choice is ours.

The choice isn't ours at all. Fact of the matter is, the once mighty United States must fall in order to initiate a One World Government.

Right now we are at the top of the scale, yet losing ground everyday. In the eyes of those people that are pushing for total control, there is too much disparity. Only when we are at the same level as those in the rest of the world, will the One World Government become acceptable to us here in the states.

It will be done in the name of peace and safety. Our monetary system will be in such a shambles that a one world currency that promises to be the cure to all aches, will be embraced.

In the world of politics and finances NOTHING happens by accident. If you look at just a few things that have happened, nationalization of banks, soon nationalization of auto makers, impending collapse of the dollar, total dependence on foreign country's due to reduced manufacturing capability's, and now a Socialist President, it becomes apparent that the systematic destruction of the most powerful nation in the world has been going on for at least 50 years.

The end of it is almost in sight.

In the next several years, we here in the U.S. are going to see things that we never would have imagined taking place here.

Obama's campaign slogan was 'Change".

Change is one thing that we will see and we don't have a say in it.

It is not my belief that we are headed to a One World Government or even that a One World Government will be possible in the future. A world with out oil or more preciously increasing shortages of oil will be impossible to control.

We have greatly elevated the carrying capacity of the planet with fertilizers and pesticides made from fossil fuels. We will have a tremendous population crash when we fall back to a purely solar carrying capacity. How many people do you think the Middle East or Africa could support if they had to produce all of their food and water locally?

I see that the major focus of the US economy in 30 years will be food production. The Southwest will go back to a sparsely populated desert, mass migration will happen from the cities and suburbs to places were food can be grown. Local and Decentralized governments will be all that functionally exist; justice will be swift and decisive. There maybe low intensity guerrilla warfare as people protect their food supply and raid others in search off food.

I hope I am wrong but unless we prepare for a world after peak oil we will fall into another dark age, or at least a dim age.

Seeing the date of the year 09' on this post and now it being Sept. 2013 I wonder if Hot Guns had any idea of how true the above statement above in bold would be?!
