I have been getting Therapy for severe arthritis in my hands, There
getting better so i can start carrying a more potent weapon, I have
a Bulgarian Makarov that i have had for a few years, I know its not
a big manstopper but right now its all i can manage right now. Any
recommendations on a good self defense round for it?

I frequently carry my Bulgy Mak. I use Hornady JHP. They are 95 grains and fly at 1000 fps with 211 ft. lbs. I have not had any feeding problems and the accuracy is very good.

The run of the mill Wolf ammo (Ball) is 100 grains and travels 1037 fps with 237 ft. lbs.

Glaser makes some Mak ammo. Theirs is 75g and flies at 1150fps with 220 ft. lbs. I have not tried that round.
