What she fails to understand, of course: felons will get their weapons elsewhere; and jumping on the heads of upstanding people won't stop felons who aren't using background checks. This is why we need to be more open with folks that do not own guns but are not necessarily anti. The facts do not matter to Rep Maloney, or the liberals for that matter. She goes to the news media and papers to spread this misinformation and scare the previously mentioned folks because they do not know better. It's a long game now where the liberals want to create a caricature of guns and gun owners so they can demonize and marginalize us. I just simply don't understand how politicians don't get that the problem with massacres/bombings in the US is not because of firearms, but rather an issue of law enforcement agencies and the FBI not being able to detect and stop these crazy men in due time before they commit their atrocities. Also, there is an evident lack of proper psychiatric care to prevent many more of these wackos from being created.
