Get you a timer dude!!
It is really helpful in not only measuring your progress, but helps you refine your carry set up for consistency!
And it will quickly illuminate your flaws in draw stroke and what guns work the best.
The timer tells you where you need work. I realized in matches I was taking my time reloading.

Which one? I don't want to derail your thread, though.

I used a free app on my work smart phone for a while called "splits". Now that I turned in my work phone I bought a PACT club III timer since I have a dumb phone. I like it but, have no experience with other timers. Others here probably have used several and can give their opinions.

No problem, its a training thread, so a Timer is a training tool:)

I use the PACT because it’s user friendly and simple.

How do you measure your time from the draw to hits on target?

With the splits app..

The app gives you shot count, shot avg, first shot, split avg and mag split avg

I tried a couple on my IPhone, and found them to be problematic, sometimes not picking up and recording shots. I’m glad I went ahead and purchased a purpose designed timer.
