No, but its a warning of what can happen if we become complacent. We aren't Britain. We do not believe what our government tries to feed us..
No risk of complacency here anytime soon, if recent trends are accurate indicators. No, but its a warning of what can happen if we become complacent.

We used to be, and can see how that worked out directly as a result of their attempted imposition of gun control on a not-so-compliant populace.Exactly...We aint britain....

I agree. But the point is to remain vigilant. Probably no one on this forum will become complacent, but there are plenty of people that aren't as alert in regards to 2A.Exactly...We aint britain....
Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.I agree. But the point is to remain vigilant.
We're 1 gen from that complacency! If we look at how long it to the Teacher Union indoctrinate our mush melon lemurs on Socialism! We'll be luck if it is not at our next Presidential elections! No risk of complacency here anytime soon, if recent trends are accurate indicators.
Our 2nd amendment is based on the mother country's laws at the time of its writing! Do not forget, both Oz and Britian have suffered from this issue!Exactly...We aint britain....
You mean living under a King? I think our laws are a little different...Our 2nd amendment is based on the mother country's laws at the time of its writing! Do not forget, both Oz and Britian have suffered from this issue!
The present day king of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, queen in this case, is ceremonial only. His or her primary duties are to review corresondence eaceh day from the cabinet and sign if necessary without input and to represent the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland at all ceremonial functions. I do also believe that they have not been ruled by a King in over 300 years. The Prime Minister and and the House of Lords run the country.....You mean living under a King? That sounds like complacency...No risk of complacency here anytime soon, if recent trends are accurate indicators.
I'm trying to see how gay marriage erodes our rights, and am drawing a blank. As for complacency, will I seem more steadfast and resolute if I speak in extremes and use lots of exclamation marks? That sounds like complacency...
Though I have little fear that America will go the same route, let's keep in mind just who and what the youth of this country stand for today. Many are wise, but many more are foolish, and one generation can change things. A LOT.
For example, for you more seasoned folks: would you have believed, when you were 20, that in your lifetime gay marriage would be legally recognized by a state like Minnesota? Or by the federal government? Whether you are okay with that or not, take it as a sign that ANYTHING can change, and quickly.
