Hey to all, Im new here but most of you are familiar with me at least in part.
Im Eric Larsen, been on Forums since 1999 and am a self proclaimed gun junkie.
I made a couple of holsters when my CZ's didnt fit anything and no one made leather for them. I made a decent rig and got decent comments from a couple of makers on the net.......very cool. At that point, Lou Alessi was one who helped me along for awhile.... you have to consider at this time, most holster makers thought sharing their secrets with others, especially those who were just starting, was just not a good idea....so
Kudos to Mr. Alessi from me.
My stuff wasnt too bad back then but needed some serious help. Gary Brommeland was recommended to me by Mr. Alessi for some further guidance.
And thats how it all started turning a so so holster into what I make now.......Gary B. has helped me out more than I can say and Im actually making some decent leather currently. Over the course of 3+ years, weve spend many hours on the phone talking about leather, family and life. He's one of the few people who gave a **** enough to help.
Ive learned well enough from Gary/Lou to actually help out other makers who needed advice or whathaveyou. Kinda the "pass it down" philosophy.......
I just wanted you all to know what kind of guy your Moderator is.......and the plain truth is there are very few people in the world like Mr. Brommeland. They are a dying breed of people who say what they mean and mean what they say.........so, Gary....thanks again and my hats STILL off to you.
Shoot well..........Eric Larsen/HBE.

P.S........He's gonna hate this thread. He's a humble guy to boot.........:D

Hi Eric

I love finely crafted leather so it's only fitting that I should get a first welcome in to you!
We are very lucky to have Gary B. as a "mod & member" of our forum.
And now...we have you too & that's great also.
I took a quick look at your holsters. They are real fine looking!
I started floral tooling in leather "way back when" & then "life" got in the way & I stopped for a long time. I still make some of my own holsters though & some knife sheaths.

HEY FOLKS....CHECK OUT ERIC'S HOLSTERS. CLICK HIS LINK!

The truth about your Moderator.

I expected the voice of James Earl Jones, heavy breathing and a stark epithet like...

...Bumper is a gay, left-handed Bavarian dwarf...and your father....

Man, I have to stop eating those Vietnamese beef pizzas before going to bed.

Eric,
Glad your here. I've spoken to you on other forums and you've always been very helpful. You remind me of Kevin Manley at KDHolsters. Always willing to help and recommending other makers' work. You're all class acts in my book.

Well, Im greatly humbled and appreciate the kind words. Thanks to all of you.
Its a pleasure to be here.
I just wanted to post something about Mr. Brommeland and his help he's given very freely for so long. He really is the reason I make the leather that I do and wanted you all to know what a class act he truely is. Im sincerely flattered by the comments and look forward to jumping in if I have a contribution or question.
And I have ALOT of questions.........:D
Shoot well.........Eric

Great to have you with us, Eric. I agree with what has already been said (well, except for Tourist's post, LOL) and from your website looks like you do some very good work. I placed a link in our "Related Links" section back in March and hope you get some trffic from here. Don't make yourself scarce.

I, too, have found both Gary and Lou to be more than willing to pass their knowledge along. I have also found others who were not so. Gary and Lou are great holstermakers and great mentors to us little folk.
