A lot of us are shut-ins, looking for something fun to do online. This forum has tackled just about every other Off Topic & Humor Discussion topic except for the "600 pound tiger" in the room, the most popular series on Netflix, the documentary "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness." If you have not seen it, you should. It is a social train wreck. You don't want to watch it, but it is hard to look away. It's a multi-year saga of IMHO some of the most despicable, inbred, white trash you will ever see in a plot that includes animal abuse, murder, fraud and other crimes on an amazing scale and it is all true. It introduces you to a segment of the US population that you will be horrified even exists. It is like the series "Shameless" crossbred with Siegfried & Roy and was seasoned with a little "American Horror Story." And even though the real story culminated three years ago, it is still in the news this week! Add to that there are plenty of guns, thermite, etc.

So for those who watched it, what did you think? Let's dish on it!

Someone else had it on tv recently, I only watched a few bits and pieces. I have less faith in humanity after watching it.

Binge watched all episodes in one day. Worth watching and so wrong on so many levels, especially when the idiot proves a Glock really can be fired without a magazine right into his head.

Good thing you didn't watch it all. You would now have no faith in humanity!

Actually watching the first episode now.
Look like relatives, On my wife’s side.
It looks like relatives for me too...unfortunately on my side. My wife's family are all friggin' saints. It can get annoying.

When I heard "do you want explosives with that?" I decided that there was nothing more that I needed to see.

Your LGS doesn't ask you that at checkout? What has happened to customer service...

I watched the first episode yesterday. Apparently the "tiger petting" industry doesn't include a dental plan. I don't know if the wife is into it so much, but seems like an appropriate show to watch during the apocalypses.

Tannerite is technically an explosive. Perfectly legal most places.
Sure, just never seen it asked like that before.

I have seen some of the buzz about this show and had the thought, "I couldn't possibly be less interested"...

This thread has proven to me that the thought was incorrect...

So the Tiger King actually ran for President one year! Just some more trivia!
I knew about it because we have a local Big Cat Sanctuary, This got so much attn. That their Donations dried up over night! Our local people take in retired cats from performing industry's. Circuses, Movie industry, and a few pets that got too big and scary! I think it costs like $10,000 a month to care for and feed them. Our local people are doing anything they can to Distance them selves from those in this Documentary! DR

Yeah, no thanks. I grew up around enough white trash to last a lifetime without watching it on tv. Unfortunately these kinds of people are common; the Jerry Springer Show is a good example of how many are out there. This description is all I need to decide to pass on watching: https://time.com/5807284/tiger-king-netflix-true-story/

Advice for the younger crowd, for the few bright enough to be here on DC: A good strategy for life is to recognize people like this from afar, keep distance, and not get sucked into their petty drama. Choose your circle of friends wisely. If it's your family there's no shame in escaping it and starting fresh on your own.

When in public around trash like this remember they don't think like you and me, they're manipulative, always looking out for themselves and willing to take from others, and are dangerous. Don't allow yourself to get bogged down with these people, you may regret it.

Of course anyone sharp enough to be here on DC probably knows this already.
