Wadsworth, Ohio Basic Pistol Course

Any Ohio residents that are interested in getting their CCW License, might want to look into the Basic Pistol Course being taught in Wadsworth Ohio. Unfortunately, the course has been shut down for the winter because the range is outdoors, but classes are expected to resume in April, 2005.
The great thing about this course is the price. Many people in Ohio are paying over $100, some as much as $150 for the mandatory 12 hour course. The Wadsworth class takes place over two days, 10 hours on Saturday and then two hours range time on Sunday. The price is $36.
This class is now being recommended by the Medina County Sheriff as possibly "the" class to go to. If you are at all interested and would like information contact Roger Polk at 330-335-9205.
I am a former student of this course and I now have my CCW License. I just thought I would share my good fortune with others.

DTI course schedule for 2005

Hi all. First I'd like to say "I'm new here"...so be gentle  . I'm also an affiliate instructor with John Farnam. Below find the course schedule for 2005. I've come to the conclusion after attending courses from many of the greats that John's 'Basic' handgun and Tactical Medical course ARE, at the very least, what the average ccw holder needs to survive. Along with that, the 'Women's' classes are very unique in that it truely is women only - women students, women instructors. Highly recommended!

I make nothing from this, as a matter of fact it costs me money to work for DTI - all of the affiliate instructors do it because they believe in it, not because it pays. So, check it out - visit the website - contact them and ask questions. But most of all, even if you don't attend a DTI class, ATTEND A CLASS. Ayoob, Spaulding, Smith, Awerbuck, Rodgers, etc...doesn't matter. There are 100's of instructors across the country that can teach you basic leathal force survival skills - get to one of them and get to them soon. You've spent the money on a gun, you've decided your life is worth protecting, you applied for the permit, now get some training. You owe it to youself and your family.

Thanks for you time and may you have victory!

Schedule
DTI's schedule changes frequently. Please confirm all dates and locations with us before making specific plans.

We encourage you to contact us as soon as possible to register for a specific course. Classes do fill up and DTI strives to keep the student to instructor ratio as low as possible so space is limited.

Obviously he had me in mind. I'm an EMT with tactical firearm training. Give me your tactical medical course free and i'll relay to these guys what i think.

I've heared some good things about Farnam.
hum well they will be in michigan but with my work i usuall can get weekends off so no just anyone to try one out i would love to same me but
cs22, no need.

I was until a couple of years ago, an EMT with BTLS training. Also have several firearms LEO and citizen instructor credentials.

I have attended the course taught by Farnam and Doc Gunn. It is excellent.

First trained with Farnam about 18 years ago, and a couple of times since. Will see him this spring and summer. May do some more training if health and time permit.

Vicki Farnam is a fine, well respected instructor. Both good people.

LOL!

Nice try. You'd have to contact John himself about that, and unless it was for a major publication or you were a rep for, say....The NYPD, or something, I doubt he would go for it.

His classes are usually full and he has less and less time these days to do this type of training. He's doing lots overseas, he's been training marines and federal agencies, as well. Freebies aren't really anything he "needs" to do, the classes are selling out by word of mouth. We only have two spots left open in the Basic class as it is and it's still 3 months away.
ant say ive ever heard of him but anything with training is booked up right now from what ive heard

too bad you do not venture out to Vegas or LA.
I think they should definetly schedule classes out west here in the sticks.
Get a group of students willing to participate and I'd bet Tom could be encouraged to hook up his wagon and head west. It would be money well spent.
I may have to look into this. Tom, I will be in contact.
