About two months ago, Tim at TT Gunleather helped me out with a bit of a unique holster in record time...due to my health situation which was deteriorating rapidly at that time. Well, a "cocktail" of two types of chemo now has me bouncing back, to the point that my wife and I took a trip to CA last week.

Before we left for CA I discovered that Tim's location was not far from where we'd be, so we were able to arrange a visit. I already valued Tim as a friend, but meeting him and his family was really the icing on the cake.

Without a lot of detail, let me share what impressed me as Tim showed me around his shop. Everything he talked about in the holster making process included his comments about why what he did added quality...I was really impressed with his commitment in this regard. And, seeing how he did things meant exposure to some "old world" leather working tools and practices--craftsmanship at its finest!

Like me, I'm sure you'd be happy with a holster from TT Gunleather--you can check out what he offers here: http://www.ttgunleather.com/index.html

Now for a pic from my visit to Tim's...I'm the fat old guy with glasses, Tim's the slender young dude...heh.

And, here's the holster he made for me earlier, a High Ride Pancake with shark trim (for a Beretta 92G-SD).

Thats great. What special mods did Tim help you out with?
Well, it was a bit of a unique pistol, a Beretta 92G-SD. That means it has a rail, unlike other 92s. And, it has a heavier slide, the Brigadier slide. So, it was a pistol that some holster makers I had checked with were unwilling to attempt. But when I looked for help here on this forum, Tim jumped in and had just what he needed to mold it correctly!

Hope you get well soon, and yea Tim has moved to the number one spot in my book.
That guy will do literally anything special you want done, he is quite talented.

I've seen him work with third parties to get matching dyes on belts and accessories to match up with some folks holsters.

I've personally changed my orders mid wait time several times without any problems and he has answered his emails very quickly.

I have Sparks, one Delfatti and some Rosens, Tim's stuff is top quality I'd say on level with Matt Delfatti's and that is saying alot!

Good luck to you my friend and get well and stay safe.

Glad you're feeling better. When I saw your original post w/pictures I liked it well enough to put in my own order for my commander-sized 1911. Looking forward to getting it sometime in January.

Hang in there Jimmy. Chemo is very unpleasant. It is my job to actually prepare chemotherapy for oncology patients. I am glad to hear you are doing well. A trip to Tim's workshop and the chance to watch him work has got to be a blast. I agree with NYcarry, Tim's work is definitely top tier leather. Tim is making me a K frame rig that should be ready soon.

Your high ride pancake looks amazing!

I'm a relatively new Tim fan too. The man is first class as a person and makes a very nice, quality holster and stands behind it too!

My holster is so close to being delivered, I can smell the leather!

Nice

Hope you are feeling better.

Tim is a great guy. He is making me a rig this week, I believe w/ some caiman I sent him. I have admired his work even before I entered the business. He is great to talk to and has a great sense of humor though I owe him a monitor cleaning and a soda since I made him spray soda out of his nose.

Nothing like asking another holster maker, in jest: "is my holster done... is my holster done???" LOL. He didn't expect it. LOL. I am sure the payback is coming.

Very nice rig, BTW.

Wow, when I was there Tim told me about this project and showed me the caymen...it is one cool looking exotic. Do post a pic of it when complete--I'll bet it will be a beauty!

Nothing but praise for Tim. I have been ordering holsters from him since his Ebay days. Since then the only thing that has gotten bad about ordering from him is the wait times are going up. Tim has always ordered new molds for any gun i have asked him to make a holster for. Much more then I can say for any other holster maker.
