I remember seeing these PMC rounds or some artilces on them with some odd performance in gelatin. Years earlier, I think I read about an experimental military "RAFG" or ring airfoil grenade, about a 40mm, built on a concept by some guy named...I think, maybe I oughta goole first...Abraham Flatau? I think in the launched grenade, the advantage was range as the ring shape was very stable. Just couldn't pack much explosive, IIRC.

I use to carry these in a AMT 380 pistol. It was like a piece of coppertubing flying thru the air! I may still have a 1/2 box or so in the gun safe.

'tubular steel rounds'....I bet they're rough on rifling........
