Rep. Jan Schakowsky: More crackdowns coming, as ‘I’m against handguns’
By Cheryl K. Chumley, The Washington Times, Monday, March 11, 2013

Rep. Jan Schakowsky said at a women’s rights rally that a Democratic-backed push to ban so-called assault weapons and to mandate background checks for private gun sales were just the beginning of a larger agenda to clamp down on Second Amendment rights.

What a joke she is. This will go no where. Even if they try the Supreme Court will find it unconstitutional AGAIN. This is really just proof in the pudding that this is nothing about keeping people safe its just the anti's way just seeing how far they can go. To me this is also proof that they know the momentum has shifted down from what it was for them so they are just throwing up hail marys. Unfortunately I be that sometime in the future of US we will have another revolution to overthrow this government same way we did in the 1770s. I truly hope it never comes to that but if things keep going the way they are then I believe it will happen.

We must keep up the fight and when we have them on their heels keep pushing against them because this will never stop. Its time for our voices to be heard, not the elitests.

We the People!
The purpose of the Bill of Rights was to protect rights, not "clamp down" on them. Isn't there a way that citizens could impeach these posers or force them to observe their oaths of office? I have little faith in the electorate to vote them out. The gimmedats outnumber the doers.

White House gun control leads to soaring ‘patriot’ group memberships
By Cheryl K. Chumley and Jessica Chasmar, The Washington Times, Tuesday, March 5, 2013

The more the White House cracks down on Second Amendment freedoms, the more Americans are banding together and joining limited government — or even anti-government — organizations known as “patriot” groups.

That’s according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which just released a report on the rising numbers of what it calls extremist groups. Within that category is a segment referred to anti-government patriot groups, The Associated Press reports. And that segment is growing — from 149 groups in 2008 to 1,360 today, AP reports. It grew 7 percent, to 1,274 groups, since 2011 alone, AP says.

I just sent here as polite an email as possible considering how angry I was, telling her and politicians of her ilk to take some time to read the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights among other things. Doubt I'll get a response.
I just did the same thing. I called her a traitor for not upholding the Constitution, also telling her what part of "Shall not be infringed did she not understand, and also told her she should join Feinstein in a mental institution
An Illinois Dem who's anti-gun and willing to ignore the Constitution? Whodathunkit...? [/sarc]
Hard to take a person named "Schakowski" seriously on a the subject of control when Im expecting a tuna casserole to come sliding across the table at any second.
Shocking... Ok, it's not really.

One thing the video does go a long way to prove is these Lib gun grabbers do understand what they are doing; it's not just ignorance of facts, it's the willful destruction of our Second Amendment.
:sheep: Baaaaaa.
Do we still live in the land our fore fathers had conceived of when they wrote what would become the backbone of our great nation?

Since the birth of our nation, countless men, women, as well as myself have spoken these words; "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; These are more than words to anyone willing to offer up their life in essence as a blank check, telling the government you can cash it in when the need comes.

With the heated debate over assault weapons, background checks this way or that, and understandably so. I mean even I have weapons, and yes one is an m4 styled gas operated semi-automatic assault rifle, as well as a (CCDWL) carry concealed deadly weapon license. So requiring a background is no big deal and I see no issue, however when I happened upon a headline from that read: “Rep. Jan Schakowsky: More crackdowns coming, as 'I'm against handguns” (By Cheryl K. Chumley, The Washington Times, Monday, March 11, 2013). I had to read on.

Images of histories dictators past or the rule of an iron fisted king started flooding my mind, noting the irony that at that moment a commercial came on depicting Paul Revere shouting the RED COATS ARE COMING !

Then what I read next floored myself as I’m sure it must have done others,“Ms. Schakowsky also claimed a handgun ban was a possibility, despite the guarantees of the Second Amendment.”(By Cheryl K. Chumley, The Washington Times, Monday, March 11, 2013) That statement right there is a direct admission in conspiring to attack the very backbone of our nation in doing so dishonoring all the men and women who paid that ultimate price keeping that oath, that belief, those core freedoms given to all. The Oath; "I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
