sorry, i forgot to mention that i plan on getting whichever gun i decide on chambered in .40 s&w

I have the USP compact in 40 cal. I LOVE the weapon and how it handles. If you're looking for a dual caliber weapon, you can get the compact in 40 or 357Sig, and get the corrisponding BBL for it in order to change the caliber. You'll NOT need to change the slide, as the two cases are the same, and the boltface dims don't change. Therefore, you can shoot both calibers, just change BBLS.
