U.S. Military veterans, tell us about your service. If you served in another country's armed forces, tell us about that, too.

I'll start.

U.S. Army, 1961 to 1971, Military Police, MOS 95B40, SSG E-6 at discharge, 1 year in RVN, 3 years in Germany, remainder in various CONUS postings.

Alaska Air National Guard, 1974 to 1976, Security Police, AFSC 81270, TSG E-6.

Go, Army, Beat Navy!

Wish I could display a long record in the services - but no can do - tho I'd be darned proud if I could.

All I had was Army Cadet stuff over three years - basic training, and finished up L Cpl, Signals. I was also (big deal!) a drummer in corps of drums and shot with the rifle team competitively - almost in fact my intro to long range center fire.

Otherwise - I am a veteran - of life - gettin' older by the second!

Hmmm... complex career for me, certainly not by the book.

Easiest to say, 15 years total service, 11 years active duty: RA 91-94, USAR 94-98 (some active duty), CA-ARNG 98-01 (mostly active duty), RA 2001-present. GWI 91-92, GWII 03-04. Germany 91-93.

I've always been a tanker... but sometimes I was a tanker doing other jobs. I've been a commo tech, truck driver, MP, chauffer and admin puke.
