This video is amazing for several points.

1. Several of us were in the military and had to do guard duty. Can you imagine the feces that hit the rotary oscillator after this was found? :rant: :rant: :spankme:

2. If these had not been just taggers and had been real bad guys, they could have just as easily have tossed a couple of satchel charges into the two engines as spray paint them. :yup:

Um, I wonder if they realized that just setting foot on the tarmac was a felony and carries a mandantory $10,000 fine, each.

I was on the tarmac once (legally) when AF1 landed. The security was impressive. The escort from the company I was doing work for, even mentioned that a lot of the airport employees walking around, had never been seen by anyone working there before. I also watched a military helicopter drop some snipers onto the roof of a building. Needless to say, when the President is on board AF1 is pretty well covered.



As a side note, I would bet good money the video is either a fake, or else the plane in the vid is a backup/ spare for AF1.

I find that hard to believe! I think if it was real there would have been some mention on the news. Not to mention that plane is pretty well guarded, and not usually out of the hanger unless it's being prepped for something.

I do agree tho - unlikely - hard to believe security sufficiently lax to enable that to go down. Of course - re not being on news - there is that ''news suppression'' mechanism which if invoked can prevent release, as it would of course be embarrassing in the extreme.

That's true. Any military aircraft that has the President aboard gets the radio call sign "One". Remember when President Bush landed on the aircraft carrier a couple years ago? That airplane's call sign was "Navy One".

I think the video is fake. Clever, maybe, but fake.

I saw this on GT, yesterday. A friend, who was a SP, in the mid 90's gave a SEAL a fatal dose of 00 Buck through the back, when the SEAL did not "appropriately respond" to the challenge that was called out (the SEAL was climbing a mooring line). This happened stateside.

My point being, the SS is more inbclined to take live prisoners for intel, but with a tagger's bag & cans, I don't think you'd be sucking everyone else's good air for long. Anyone with the least bit of awareness is going to notice (even if you're wearing ramp jammies) someone spraying 3-6' crap on AF-1.:dead: :gah: :dead: .

If by SS you are talking about the Secret Service, unless things have changed they don't guard the plane, that is an Air Force job, just like the Marines supply the security on the "Presidential" Helos.

I agree. Likely one of the backup planes. I seriously doubt that an active AF One would be that unguarded. Still, pretty sad. Even if it were "just' a backup plane, those things are worth serious bucks. It would'nt take much to do some significant dollar damage, and I think someone in security would lose a lot of rump for a screw-up like that.

I went to this guys web site and if it were the real one he would be in jail. He sits there and talks about doing it. Then if you look deeper it has links about the making of Air Force One the movie. Look closely at the plane. does it have the refueling bubble on top for in flight refueling - no. Does it have all of the extra antenna that the real AF1 has - no. It's got to be the one they used for the movie.

The tagging incident is false, they admit it on their own website.

26000 (aircraft tail number of the 747 used by Reagan) security was breached at Point Magu NAS in California in 1985 IIRC. SEAL Team 6 under Marcinko parked a fuel truck close to the aircraft with a sign in it (under the seat IIRC) that said something like this is a bomb you are dead. They did not enter the aircraft so far as we know. Marcinko talks about this in his book.

The POTUS and Veep have both been on the aircraft at the same time, but not in the air. It was called Air Force 1 even though it wasn't moving.
