Just got back from Wally World with two boxes of 250 count UMC for a total of $99.37! That's 20¢ per round! I can't reload that cheap! Plus I now have 500 cases (after I shoot them up) for reloading!:danceban:

ETA: They only had two boxes:frown:

I got two 250 round packs of .45 yesterday at $54 per. They are out today and the tag on the bare spot on the shelf now reads $93.

Just checked a neighboring store: price $92. At least I got two boxes half price!

BTW, I need a hair cut and so does Ange
Man, as soon as I saw this thread I was out the door on my way to my local Wally. As I got to the counter they have a clearance tag on it with $69. I thought oh hell but I waited and waited for a clerk and asked him to price check it.

He said $45 and I said SOLD!

Thanks for the heads up my man. :danceban:

Wally world is a big hit or miss adventure, but when you do hit it's a good price. I usually buy my practice ammo there for 9mm and .40.
I used to buy a lot of ammo there but it's an adventure finding a clerk to unlock the case.

Not every one has the key and a lot of times they have to look for the damn keys.

Academy, on the other hand, has the ammo on shelves and we just grab what we want and go to the cashier. I've been buying there since.

I have called customer service on my cell phone and asked for assistance.

Do 500 rounds fit in your shirt pocket?
Is UMC any better than Winchester White Box? I've bought nothing besides that for Range ammo for my G23...200 rounds for $55 at Wally World...when I can track down a person with the keys that is...
The UMC is pretty average, not hot like the BB.
Do 500 rounds fit in your shirt pocket?
No, only the one Ange let's me carry. The other 499 is a secret. Shhhh.......!

I went to Wally World tonight and found still more ammo @ $45/box. It was priced $69 on the shelf, and I asked the clerk to scan it. 2 more boxes added to my stash!?
That's the same thing I went through when I got mine. Clearance price of $69 but $45 on the scan. Shoots pretty good, shot a box.

From what I've read, the UMC is a bit hotter than WWB.

As far as their quality, WWB never gave me any problems... I just think it shot way dirtier than necessary. Does that even matter? I don't know, but I prefer clean burning ammo. I've never shot the UMC, because it was always higher priced. I've Actually been sticking solely to Speer Lawman. It's the cleanest burning stuff I thought, with blazer brass being right there with it in cleanliness. But now I'm getting off subject, but I always have to say this, I prefer Speer Lawman over everything because of its low price and it's loaded (ballistics-wise) just like Speer Gold Dot.

If I was in Wal-Mart and saw UMC @ 20 cents a round for .40S&W, I'd buy it without a second thought.

Got two more at Walmart today. Wasn't expecting any more but there it is with a $45 price tags.
And two more again. Went broke on 'em.
Nothing wrong worth what you're doing, but there are a couple of sites we know, and share, that have unbeatable deals on ammo. I get Speer Lawman TMJ for 21-23/4 cents a round. It's the best website I've ever ordered ammo from.
