While I'm speculating about silly stuff I really don't need I thought I'd open this up for discussion: I have discovered I enjoy the .44 Magnum cartridge. I can't claim I've shot a terribly large quantity of it (it's pricey) but I'm looking to learn to reload it once things settle down a bit and I have two guns chambered in it and am considering a third down the road.
My handgun platform is a 629-4 and I LOVE that gun. It is fantastic. But I've noticed something, and that is that for some crazy reason I don't exactly fire .44 Magnum at speed. Matter of fact, I tend to fire it single action and even supported sometimes!
So I'm thinking about a single action revolver since that's what I do with it most of the time anyway. But I'm also tempted to get another non S&W (read: Ruger) double action.
My intended purpose is, well, wasting ammunition. I don't really have time or interest in handgun hunting, and there's nothing in Texas that can't be killed with a service caliber if it had to be killed in a hurry.
