As long as he didn't damage anything, I wouldn't care... I mean, i bet that group of thieves will be picking targets FAR away from that house... If ever again...Popping off a 10mm in your subdivision is always real popular with the neighbors. Could have been a bad outcome.
Good thing he wasn't in Ohio then, huh... :yup:In OUR CCW training, in the state of Ohio: You DO NOT have the right to shoot at people outside to defend property, especially unarmed people in the dark who are not threatening or shooting at you. I am glad that he was not prosecuted or punished, save for a tongue lashing and not a pleasant one for using his gun.
Thanks Sixto, That bothers me, too..Robbery; the act or practice of robbing; specifically: larceny from the person or presence of another by violence or threat.
Burglary; the act of entering a structure to commit another crime, typically a theft.
I think people are getting tired of being victims and the law says hey suk it up and just replace your stuff,Ya never know.
A man here, saw a guy breaking into his car and shot him from inside the house thru the kitchen window. The bullet hit the BG in the head and killed him. He was charged with murder.
His defense was, he was not intending to "hit" the guy, but scare him and the glass actually deflected the bullet, causing it to hit the deceased. He also said he was in fear that he would grab the garage door opener in the car and come into the house.....
He was found not guilty by the jury. We , were all amazed.
Depends on where you live... I live in "suburbia" and it still takes 5-10 minimum to get an officer here... unless we luck out and have one already nearby... (our neighborhood doesn't have a police patrol)or just calling 911 and let the cops approach quietly to catch them.
