I hope something comes in as info on this episode tho hard to see how right now. I wonder if ballistically there can be some trace back to work out where the idiot was based. Plus too - the caliber of round etc.

If the car wasn't moved you should be able to get a general idea of teh area the shot came from. Guess after that it might depend on the type of area.

I've never seen the level of respect for public servants as low as it now...police being shot at, firemen can't get to blocked fire hydrants, and ambulance drivers can't get through traffic, etc. People don't/won't understand until they've walked a mile in the public servant's shoes...

Don't know about the "can't" part- I've seen the owner of a Honda Civic who sorely wished he hadn't parked in front of a plug. IIRC, FD charged him for the "damage" to their bumper......:nutkick:

I asked about this and was told by my FD that they'd put the hose through the car if they had to.

He must be dislocated from New Orleans. They sure took a lot of "pot shots" at LEOS down there during the natural disaster that turned out to be a human disaster of societal misfits.

Follow Up

The mental midget that was doing the shooting was recently arrested for DUI and spent a few days in jail. Apparently this made him so mad that he decided to try and kill one of us for his sins.

BTW this pic (digitaly enhanced) doesn't really show you that it happened at about 21:00 so it was dark. You can see our big behinds and M4's though. More to follow.

Speaking of idjuts blocking fire hydrants....we had big fires in the Malibu area a few years back. My partner and I are running interference for L.A. County fire engines trying to get to some homes that were in immediate danger of being burned. Some fool left a new Cadillac convertible blocking this narrow road, blocking the fire engines. My partner and I discussed it and figured what the hell....we put it in neutral and pushed it over the side of a 150 foot cliff. The firemen thought that was the coolest thing they ever saw. Never got beefed, either.....or maybe the owner couldn't figure out who to beef.....musta been them looters....

Kompact9 spoke of firemen not being able to get to blocked fire hydrants. One of the best photos I have ever seen was of a car blocking a hydrant with windows smashed out on both sides and a fire hose passed through the car.
