I haven't worn a leather holster in about eight years. Of all the makers out there, and I know there are many fine ones, Milt Sparks is the only one I can recommend based on my own experiences. Brommeland Gunleather also makes a great holster, if you can actually get your hands on one.

It really depends on the gun. What I can say, however, is that I don't like too many of the bigger leather holster companies (e.g. Galco, DeSantis, UrbanCarry, etc.). Some of their designs are really idiotic and thoughtless, especially when they make holsters to fit more than one gun. I like smaller family owned innovators like RGrizzleLeather.

I've owned a lot of high-quality custom leather holsters. If I had to choose, I'd probably lean towards Lobo Gun Leather being my favorite for revolvers and either TT Gunleather or UBG Holsters for semi-autos.

There are a lot of really good holster makers out there but I guess my favorite is Milt Sparks since it's what I own.
