I know, this is nitpicking about words. They don’t want equality. They want equity, “Equity“ is the left’s rebranding of socialism/communism to make it more palatable in the U.S.

i don’t think they’re liberals. ”Liberal“ is another label they’ve hijacked - trying to put lipstick on a pig. They‘re leftists. I think the left’s move from a republic to a democracy is step one. With that move the population numbers on the Left Coast and the other Left Coast can control the country. IMO, the final goal is socialism.

I think so far this thread has been an apt description of what the woke masses are like. They want us disarmed because their masters have convinced them we're scary and that it is virtue to be weak, to be victims. But they are the "useful idiots." They're not in charge. They will suffer the same consequences as conservatives if socialists take over completely. Mao wrote that after conservatives, liberals are the state's worst enemy. Anyone who has an ideology different than the state's ideology, anyone who has any independence from the state, has to be brought to heel.

There are people above the woke masses who are not weak. They are strong and laser-focused on power. There are dozens of them I could list. Most are not big names most people would know. Some are big names that you might have thought had become irrelevant, like John Kerry, Bernie Sanders and Al Gore. A few of them are Republicans. Then there are the enablers like Soros, Bloomberg and Gates. They plan to rule the country and not in a benign way. Citizens with guns stand in their path.

We are, I believe, moving into the FAFO phase of developments. I don't necessarily look forward to it with eager anticipation, but I'm way past ready to have our status as a republic cleared up. This ain't a democracy, no matter how much they shriek.

Agreed, liberals and leftists are two distinctly critters. Combining the two simply adds to the absolutism at the extremeat ends of the spectrum.

A leftist is someone who wants to shove their biases down everyone's throats, regardless of cost. A liberal simply wants to mend what's broken.

The same thing is done to conservatives. Buck the left, and automatically receive the label of ultra right-wing racist. Much like those countless thousands on January 6th who thought they were simply going to exercise their right to protest.
