Do you guys know if Winchester uses primer sealant on their self defense ammo? I bought two boxes of PDX1 ammo and noticed what looks like sand or salt crystals in the crease around the primers; both boxes. I just received three boxes of T-series, and see the same on all three boxes of that. Two different series of ammo, two different sources, weeks apart. Seems too coincidental not to be intentional. The only thing I can think is sealant. Anyone know?

I looked at a few boxes of the PDX1 (.40S&W) and all I could see was a trace of what looked like dust or fine styrofoam bits around the primer. Could only see it on one or two rounds.

That's a good description of what I'm seeing. But it's on every round.

Could be your's were tumbled around a lot more in shipping.. Dust them off..

The primers are not sealed with anything that I can see and if they were the box would probably say so.
