Wisconsin Senate Overrides Veto

1959 Views 17 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  Brian45
The Wisconsin Senate overrode Gov. Jim Doyle’s veto of a concealed carry bill on Thursday with a 23-10 vote. The Assembly will next decide on whether to override the bill. It would allow those who pass a firearms training course and obtain a permit to carry concealed firearms, as well as knives, electric shock defense mechanisms and clubs. Wisconsin is one of four states that bans concealed weapons.

Currently, they're in recess for "partisan caucus".
I hope WI is recipitory with FL, or even NYS.
I am waiting and hoping - it is high time Doyle was squashed and the people's real needs and wants addressed.

I don't know whether my emails might have helped any but sure hope they might have.
What does this mean?

ONE VOTE!!! :banghead: :banghead: :gah:

Damn - I feel so sorry for all the folks who's hopes were riding on this. If by any means it could be funny - it'd be a total joke.

This has quite spoiled my day.
that sucks. . It's a sad day when U.S. citizens need to try ands vote their rights back. WI will not see me over there any time soon.
Unbelievable....:aargh4: :aargh4: :aargh4:
 i'llkeep it clean. the smilie says it all.
Does Wisconsin's constitution allow for a governor's recall?

Just curious.

(Or legislators?)
This was the Doyle plan all along and he did what everone thought and got someone to crack to vote against the bill.

Pisses me off. :comeandgetsome:

Ti.
He's up for reelection this fall. It will be interesting on how this issue affects him. Hopefully, he'll pay by becoming X-Governor of WI.

Here's a couple of guys running against him. Too bad money always counts so much in a race like this.

I'd provide the "Independent" candidate info. but he voted against the veto over-ride today.
Very disappointing. :hand1:
