It is a latter gun as it has the warning on the barrel .. It looks to be in good shape if needing a good cleaning ..If the bore and other side looks good I would do it so yes ...

if you have a need for a durable and reliable 357 no-nonsense working gun..........yes
if you are thinking revolver competitions or dream of ICORE.....Smith purty much owns the field with their lock-work.

REGARDLESS.........everyone needs a solid 38/357 for whatever and any reason...it would make a stellar utility gun and jack of all trades.
