Since the craziness started this year I went back to carrying a .45.
Picked up this Dan Wesson Valkyrie (commander-length slide on an officer alloy frame) recently, it is a little lighter to carry than my steel framed 1911s.

Very nice! There was a seller on Gunbroker recently who had a whole bunch of these that he was selling dirt cheap. Alas, though, I debated and hesitated too long, and his supply eventually ran out... I’ve got a DW CCO, but I prefer the sights and front strap checkering on the Valkyrie.

Thanks.....yep I pretty much stole the Valkyrie @ $1050 and it is not a blem. Something happened and the prices were all over the board briefly, so I grabbed one, well made 1911 and great shooter too.

My photo skills suck, but I tried to add in my Bench-made Rift to make up for it...lol

The pistol on my belt right now is my Browning 1911-380. There are some things I don't like about it, but it is relatively light, thin, and carries well.
