Crossbreed or Highnoon?

I am picking up a new 1911 tomorrow, it will be a 4in size. Looking above at the holster makers and I see Highnoon (I can get one for as little as $40 and it is in stock now) or I can spend $70 on a Crossbreed and have to wait a few weeks. The gun will be carried as often as I can, there are times when deep concealment is necessary yet times I will OC. Thoughts?

Edit to add: Any other holsters that would be suggested other than those two?

Well for around $100 total you could pick them both up and use the Highnoon until you CBST gets there. Then once you have the CBST you can always use the Highnoon as your grab+go holster for quick trips out of the house. Also my CBST took two weeks exactly from the date I ordered it (Glock 19) to the day it was delivered.

As you can see from my signature, I own a Crossbreed Quick-Clip (IWB) and a HighNoon Slide Guard (OWB) holster.

The "Quick-Clip" conceals better, but I find that it puts too much pressure on my hip bne and hurts when sitting or driving in my truck... and I can not tighten my belt tight enough to keep my pants up (due to losing weight).

With the HighNon OWB holster, my pants and belt fit as needed, the holster rides "high and tight" and I have found that my shirts and jackets cover over it just fine with only 1 or 2 exceptions... and then I can use the Crossbreed holster.

For 99% of the time, I have chosen to use my HighNoon Slide Guard (took a good 3 weeks of everyday wear to break it in and loosen it up).

I bought the HighNoon Slide Guard in black, cowhide and lined.

Good luck, but both will serve you fine... and like most, you will own more than 1 type or brand of holster depending on what your wearing or comfort level (I originally bought the OWB holster for fall and winter wear to make getting to my firearm easier).

I vote CBST, because that is what I use. However, I am biased as I have no other quality holster for it. I went straight from a $10 Ace to the SuperTuck. The more I use it, the more I like it.

I am going to give Kolbeson a shot first. I am looking at the leather lined kydex straight drop holster for my G26. One to two week delivery time. I like the idea of being able to move the holster from appendix carry to strong side, crossdraw or sob depending on the situation. I almost never wear a tucked shirt so this is a non issue for me. I may actually buy a High Noon Hidden Ally or Split Decision as a tuckable option.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I hope to order something this week. Picked up my new Kimber yesterday and due to work and school and now just a bit of free time, I have hardly had a chance to look at it. I will post gunporn sometime of it though.

Update, I just ordered a CBST, hopefully I find it comfortable to wear. Today just for kicks, I had to go to the store and I put my Kimber in my $12 Uncle Mikes, Let me tell ya, that was UNCOMFORTABLE as can be but nobody noticed my firearm.

Any clip is going to show when wearing a tucked in shirt unless you have the velcro setups. IMO a symbol on the clip isn't going to give it away anymore then just the clip. I plan on getting a cell phone holder to cover one of the clips somewhat so it's not incredibly obvious to the few who pay attention to surroundings.
