Hmm Naval Air, master horizontal bombardier, into the GUADALCANAL campaign, Aug 11, 1942, then island hopping to Ole China and Japan. After, the new USAF flight / officer training.

Later a stint in the US Border Patrol then off to being a tropical Tramp looking for lost Jesuit Gold Mines etc. etc.

Don Jose de La Mancha "I exist to live, not live to exist"

P.S. Oh almost forgot, was recruited to fly PBY5-A's for Castro, but turned down my commision when I rechecked with the State dept and found that I was risking my US citizenship. No way was I going to give it up.
