I recently was in the market for a good gun belt to support my Glock G17 Gen 4 and my Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe holster. I searched several Glock forums asking about a good belt - many people gave me their thoughts and opinions for which I really appreciate. In an attempt to help other people who don't know what kind of belt to buy I would like offer this recommendation.

After looking at the "A Better Belt USA" website at A Better Belt USA and talking on the phone with my questions to Mike and Tracy the owners of this very small Houston, Texas company, I ordered The Ultimate Gun Belt from A Better Belt USA.

The quality of this belt is absolutely superior and the ordering options available were very plentiful which included your choice of width, several colors, Kydex reinforced (I ordered), 5 or 7 holes, 1/2 or 1 inch hole spacing and many more options. The belt is made out of two cross layers of Bullhide with Kydex in between. Mike told me Bullhide is much stronger and more stiff than cowhide to give the belt superior support for the holster and gun. I was able to order a 40 inch belt which was the exact size I needed. Many belt companies will only make their belts in lengths of 2 inch increments. These belts are handmade one at a time.

The delivery time is stated as 2 weeks with shipping by USPS Priority mail. I had the belt in my hands in Kansas City 9 days after I ordered it.

When the belt arrived there was a very nice hand signed letter by both Tracy and Mike explaining different things about the belt and a big thank you for my business. In this day "big business" you simply don't receive a hand signed thank you letter from the company owners.

This belt will last for a very long long time and i could not be more satisfied with the quality and customer service. I hope this helps those folks that are looking for a superior gun belt make an informed decision on which one to buy.

I second your kudos. A++ for the quality of the belt and their customer service. I also called to order exactly what I wanted since I wanted some mods to the standard belt. I got mine in 11 days but that included a holiday between the time I ordered and it arrived. It is rare to have such good customer service nowadays.

I have one of their Dark brown W/ Black double stitch thread, and I marvel at what a fine piece of leather it is.
This belt could hold up the London Bridge for cripes sake its so tough and strong.
I'm a believer.

I received my Ultimate Gunbelt on time in the mail today and I love it. It's a beautiful example of workmanship and came with a hand signed thank you letter. I know this belt will last forever, but I might just have to have a brown one too. I highly recommend these belts for CCW or just to hold your pants up.

Got one of these recently as my first true gun belt, and it works great. I went with the DIY "kit", which is a completely functional gun belt, just not dyed or sealed. For $40, can't be beat.

I stated earlier I love mine, but I do wish I had ordered it with Kydex reinforcement. After a couple years of wear, it has gone soft. I plan on ordering another belt soon, and it will be from A Better Belt.

Ordered a double-stitched, kydex reinforced Ultimate Gun Belt just a few days ago. Got a prompt confirmation and was informed that while they do their best to ship within 10 days, due to illness in the company my order would likely ship in 3 weeks. I don't mind waiting for a quality handmade item (pretty sure my Crossbreed Minituck took about 5 weeks!) and my existing belt is okay, so no sweat. They seem like really nice folks, I hope whoever is sick recovers and feels better soon, and will be calling tomorrow to offer my well-wishes.

I just checked them out. The fact that they are pictured curled up makes me think they aren't stiff enough.
