I'm such a cheapskate thus you'll find me all over SlickDeals, LOL......I'm looking for a good quality yet cheap gun belt that works well with EDCs-IWB.
Regular belts with the EDC pull my pants down,haha.....Can you recommend some below $40?

I don't know of this is cheap or not but I use & like the 5-11 Trainers and Operators belts. I have one of each & they do fine for my EDC. Priced about $40 each.

No. These aren't gun belts. People suggesting they work simply have no experience with a real gun belt.
I have real gun belts that I never wear. The Wrangler belts are much more comfortable and hold my government model 1911 in a pancake holster nice and tight.
If you own a gun belt then you should understand the difference in stiffness between it, and a cheap Walmart dress belt.
Hang a full size gun on it for awhile or get it soaked with sweat and get back to us on how good it is.
I bought them at WalMart around 1992 and have carried a government model 1911, a Glock G20, or a 4" S&W 29-2 .44 magnum revolver plus reloads since then. They are still comfortable and keep my guns nice and tight. I bought real gun belts around 2006 because the internet said they are mandatory to carry a gun. They are still on the top shelf in my closet.

I've tried Walmart belts for years, and none of them lasted long. The holes stretched/widened out, the stitching came undone, a rivet broke off, the belt ripped, etc.. I noticed that I was buying a new $15 belt every year or so.

Anyway, now I wear real gun belts, and not only do they last, but if something not normal wear and tear should brake, most gun belt companies will fix or replace it free of charger (even after the initial 30 day s of ownership).

I second Hank gun belts. Hank's The Gunner belt is a highly recommend and popular inexpensive belt. It has a lifetime return policy, and is going fr $39 right now. Use the promo code "WORKHARD" by 12AM EST tonight to get an extra 15% off.

You certainly don't have to spend a fortune on one. I have worn a bull hide gun belt and now wear a cabela's belt, not designated as a gun belt because I shrunk out of my bull hide belt. I really find no difference, I have to use suspenders with both if I don't want to keep pulling up the britches. Not as bad now that I carry the g 43 instead of the g 19 but if I am going to be out for an extended period of time I wear the suspenders.

You bought something from a company that gouges firearms owners at a moments notice (cheaper than dirt). Lots of others vendors carry that belt, next time, look elsewhere please.

I have owned two belts in my sixteen or seventeen years of carrying.

The first belt was made by the Don Hume holster company.
This belt was made of thick quality leather and a quality buckle but it was not lined or stiffened in any manner.I think the cost was in the fourty dollar range.

The belt i have now is from Mikes Better Belts USA.
It also has quality components but has thicker leather, heavier stitching and a liner for stiffness.

It really is a day and night difference .

Whatever belt you decide on make sure it is lined for stiffness and stitched heavily.
Without these two things all you have is another belt to hold up your pants.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I recently bought one of these:

Thus far, it's a great belt...especially for the price. It stands up to my other leather gun belts, as far as quality and thickness are concerned. Even the Mrs. has commented on how nice it looked.

If you are lucky enough to live within driving distance of a Mennonite saddle maker like I am, you can find a super thick incredibly sturdy embossed belt for $25. It's 1 1/2" wide and just a smidge under 3/4" thick. I hope one of my kids or grandkids likes it when I'm gone because I'm sure it will be be in great condition.

Gramps (hubby) has a plain smooth leather one he bought a few years ago for $20 and it looks brand new - all the time! I had ordered a custom holster for my S&W Model 10-5 and noticed that embossed belt when we went to pick up the holster when it was ready. Lucky me!
