Again I think it is over prices a bit but I might grab one as they come set up out of the box how I would like it and I did the math and with what you spend on a base rifle and the magpul stuff + the nigh sight front sight post I think it is about what you pay ..That for me the money in it if t he front sight still has glow to it thats prob a 100 or so $ upgrade

So just though I mention this if anyone is needing a basic m4forgery gun ..

And hey if you saw my other thread you could grab a model 64 while you are grabbing this

And yes I very well know you can get a magpul AR from PSA for less I just posted this as people like that pony lol

Not sure they are not 6920 or older Leo only marked guns so not sure if they are the new flaky ones or older

Hopefully not too beat up .. sounds like they just spent most of there life in a car so hopefully not fired too much

FWIW, The image shown on the listing is an LE serial number, all the markings are the same as my LE6920 bought in 2014. That serial number is 80K lower than mine.

Maybe they had an end of fiscal year 'use it or lose it' purchase on new carbines. Or, maybe they got a bunch of ful autos?

Why? Are you saying they're abused?

The South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls surplused their 870 Riots to the local Scheels in the summer of 2019. I happened to stumble upon them when the store had just put a dozen or so of them out on the rack for $199 each. I checked the date codes and they were all early 70's. The Scheels Manager stated that the Penitentiary agent indicated they had been in active use until just before the transfer, so approximately over 45 years of service. Of course, I picked the one in the best mechanical condition and took it home. The above fact just made me wonder about why these guns are being replaced at 8 years of duty.

I see a lot of "used" and "worn" comments on these LE trade-ins. Just how used and worn would they actually be? I imagine they'd far less used and worn that any military turn-ins. My experience with LE trade-ins is they are slightly used and worn at worst. Cosmetic wear.

I don't know, I love my colt even more when it got sent back to me. And still no issues. What it comes down to it everyone has there own likes and dislikes. But I will say my le6920 has not done me wrong. Before or after the recall.
