I've done this with many of my clothes. For one thing, it can help keep a pocket carried gun in the position it's supposed to be. It also can keep the grip from peeking out into view.

What would be nice is to have a bit more natural drape occurring around a pocket carried gun. I have yet to find a tailor that can make that happen nicely. The only real option seems to be larger cargo-style pockets with plenty of room.

 

Great idea, kudos to your wife! Looks like you owe her a nice dinner, or a range date.

 

I wish I could talk her into going to the range. I'll take any advice you have on that subject.

I second the cargo pants. I've never been able to pocket carry with jeans.

 

+1 on the cargo pants.. and only half of my jeans have big enough pockets

On another thread, Keltyke recommended readers contact Janice at Concealment Specialties.Com (and tell her 'Gerald send you'. Her company makes pocket holsters that are evidently smaller and made of a better fabric than the run-of-the-mill variety. For $15 I would certainly order one if I had a weapon I could pocket carry.
