Ok, Back from vacation. Had a great time. Visited Knoxville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg areas.
Me and the wife made the entire trip on our Goldwing. Loved the scenic mountain roads....
I had wondered about Dollywood but found no problems with carry there. No signs that I could see anywhere against it - no metal detectors at the entrance.

Oh Yeah, as good as the trip was - it was still good to be back home.

Oh, on a hike up to see Laural Falls (1.3 miles one way - all uphill) we saw a young bear about 40 yards off trail foraging for food. Riding the Goldwing on other back mountain roads we saw deer, more bears and other wildlife. Really neat.

Can't beat the two wheels - until that is a T-storm decides to dump gallons on you!

Glad you enjoyed it - so much to see, hear and smell when biking. Even so - nothing like home for the final sanctuary :smilez:

Glad you enjoyed it. I hiked Laurel Falls and several others while I was down there 2 years ago. Dollywood was way better than I expected too.

country85,
Just watch out for the horrible, horrible traffic in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, especially on weekends and evening hours. Get a map and find the back roads, or you'll be stuck for a long, long time.

There used to be an excellent military museum there, and it's gone. :frown:

Glad you had a good time here. We have some of the best riding in the country....East TN and West NC. No brag just fact.
I highly recommend the Cherohala Skyway and Blue Ridge Parkway in case you have not sampled them.
Also we have the Honda Hoot here in late June. More Goldwings than you can shake a stick at.
