I think it looks interesting. Must be some thin walled magazines.

probably... might have to take a ride this weekend to see one. The pro shop is under an hour away.

Almost the exact size of my G43 with 4 more rounds? What witchcraft is this?

P365 - G43 - PT111 G2

Length - 5.80 - 6.26 - 6.24
width - 1.00 - 1.02 - 1.1
height - 4.30 - 4.25 - 5.1
weight - 17.80 - 17.95 - 22
Barrel - 3.10 - 3.39 - 3.2
capacity - 10+1 - 6+1 - 12+1

:image035:
Add two more rounds, and it's a Taurus PT111 G2! Though still not as small as the Keltec P11...

Of course, Taurus and Keltec are a far cry from SIG in terms of quality. But I've been wondering for years why none of the top tier companies are making microsubcompact double stack 9mms like Taurus, Keltec, and Sccy.

FINALLY!!!

Impressive relative to the Shield 9MM.

Shield v. Sig P365 Specs:

H: 4.6" / 4.3"
L: 6.1" / 5.8"
W: 0.94"/1.0"
Weight: 19 Oz. / 17.8 Oz.
Capacity: 7+1 /10+1

Same barrel length.

Looks like another great choice for consumers. I'll stay with what I have, though - if I chased every new gun on the market, I'd never have one gun long enough to be fully proficient in it.

Good thing Gramps doesn't carry 9mm and I no longer am able to shoot 9mm, or.........

.......we might look at one.

(In our house, looking often means buying.)

However, I would be hard pressed to find any guns that fit me and work as well for me as my G42s and SIG P238s do. (For those of you who remember, yes -I said that before about other guns.)

Wow. The dimensions here are pretty impressive. I thought that Sig would eventually release a small single stack version of the P320 to compete with the Shield and G43. Looks like they released a double stack to compete. I certainly didn't see that coming.

Clever numerical designation for this series too - P365. Really jumps out at you when marketing it as the gun for everyday carry since it is below subcompact size yet with decent carry.

Sig has been working on this one for a couple of years. They filed the trademark for the name last spring I believe. But they really surprised everyone with the capacity in that size. For me the real question is, will it really hit the stores any time soon? We all know Sig is horrible about getting new products to market.

Also, I’m hearing we may see a 10mm P320 in the coming days, maybe at SHOT. That would be enough to get me into 10mm for sure.

Thin mag sheet metal?

Thin polymer on the grip?

Unless they re-wrote the laws of physics, given Sig’s recent handling of the P320 “don’t call it a recall” recall, I’d wait a while to see what the long term durability is on this.

I am a Sig fan but carry a Shield. In order for me to replace my Shield the cost would have to come down quite a bit. If I didn’t own either and was looking to buy, I would go with the Shield based of price.
